Elder-Elect Robert Holmes
Robert was born in Massachusetts in a Christian home to parents who loved and served God in a believer’s Baptist church. He was converted at the age of eight under the teaching of my parents but specifically during the ministry of David Stiefler (a visiting children’s evangelist) and was baptized at age ten. He quickly embraced the doctrines of grace through his Father’s (an Elder in our church) teaching. In 1981 Robert married Cathy, his high school sweetheart, and in 1983, with two children, they moved to Arizona where Robert embarked on a 30 year career in marketing. In 1987 He and Cathy became a members of Grace Covenant Church and embraced confessional Baptist doctrine, holding to the Second London Baptist Confession (1689). Robert served as a Youth Group Leader, Sunday school teacher, and Deacon and assisted the church with his various professional skills over the last 28 years. Robert also served on the board of directors at Redeemer Christian School 1997 - 2000.
Robert has raised four children in the Lord and have seen them all profess faith in Christ Jesus and were baptized.
