Pastor Frank Urquidez
Frank Urquidez was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up in an ungodly home and environment. He was led to Christ at age 13 by an undercover police officer. That same police officer paid Frank’s way through private Christian school. It was in High School that Frank came to an understanding of the Doctrines of Grace and believed he was called to the ministry. After high school Frank attended Pensacola Christian College in Florida. In 1990, Frank married his wife Donna. The Lord has blessed them with 6 amazing children. (3 boys 3 girls). 5 of the children profess Christ as savior. The Lord led Frank back to Arizona and GCC in 2011.
In February of 2015, Frank was ordained to the ministry. Frank has served as Youth Director, VBS Director, Small Group Leader, Sunday School Teacher and in other various capacities at GCC. In February of 2016, the GCC Elder board and Congregation voted to recognize San Tan Reformed Baptist Church as an official GCC Church plant. They also agreed to send Frank as the official Church Planter for the work in San Tan Valley. Frank is currently attending Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary to obtain his Divinity Degree. Frank and Donna have recently received their Certificate of Completion from the Biblical Counseling Training Centers of Arizona on The Principles of Biblical Counseling. While leading God’s people at STRBC, Frank continues to hold a full time position for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as a Regional Change Manager for the West Division.
Pastor Robert Holmes
Rob Holmes was born in a Christian home in Massachusetts in the middle of that last century. His father was a pastor at a non-denominational Christian church where he served for more than 20 years helping that church begin to embrace the doctrines of grace. Rob came to faith as a boy and was baptized. He married his wife Cathy in 1981 in the same church. Cathy and Rob have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. He moved to Arizona in 1983 and continued a successful career in marketing. It was in 1987 that Rob began attending Grace Covenant Church under the ministry of John Giarrizzo. At Grace Covenant he became the first youth worker, one of the first three deacons, taught Sunday School to junior high and high school students, taught outreach home bible studies, and organized several Father/Son camp outs. He learned about confessional Baptist theology during the next thirty years and is currently enrolled at CBT seminary, Owensboro, KY. In 2017 he was ordained by Grace Covenant Church and is now assisting fellow pastor Frank Urquidez in planting San Tan Reformed Baptist Church in Queen Creek, Arizona.
